Gold Mining Projects Map
Commissioners Gold Ltd has been granted a portfolio of tenements for gold and base metals exploration, in the Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales, Australia. These tenements have been selected to provide immediate drill targets and early opportunities to develop modern economic gold mining.
All of the projects are in and around historical gold mining fields and Ophir and Mongarlowe have significant historic production from associated alluvial gold workings. These gold fields are under-explored by any yardstick, particularly when compared to the historical gold mining fields of Western Australia, with some having had little attention since their initial discovery.
Each project area has a “smoking gun” – a strong indication of the presence of significant undiscovered mineralization.
- At Oberon the smoking gun is a significant untested geophysical anomaly at the Black Bullock prospect. Previous drilling at this prospect had intersected significant gold and base metal values.
- At Ophir and Mongarlowe the smoking gun is alluvial gold which is not adequately explained by known hard rock sources.
- At Dalton the smoking gun is rich gold mineralization located along 6 km of a major structural trend.
- At Muttama the smoking gun is a recent gold discovery along strike at Christmas Gift, which had been missed by earlier exploration.
Exploration targets include:
- Epithermal style gold – base metals
- High-grade, narrow-vein orogenic gold systems. This may include saddle reefs similar to Hill End and Ballarat and Bendigo in Victoria
- Disseminated structurally controlled orogenic gold pyrite mineralization similar to the giant Sukhoi Log deposit
- Intrusion Related Gold deposits, which include bulk minable stockwork, skarn and vein systems
- Tungsten bismuth skarn mineralisation
- Alluvial gold.
